Steven T. Cornell

Steven T. Cornell has served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of National Iron Bank since 2015. He has previously held various positions within the bank, including Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer, Compliance Officer, Bank Secrecy Act Officer, Security Officer, and IT Officer. Prior to joining National Iron Bank, Mr. Cornell was a PC Analyst at the Bank of Boston in Hartford, Connecticut.

He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Skidmore College and an MBA from Southern New Hampshire University. Additionally, he completed a Graduate Degree in Banking at the Graduate School of Banking at Colorado. Mr. Cornell is a lifelong resident of Litchfield County. When he is not in the office, he enjoys playing tennis, golf, and ice hockey.

I started working for National Iron Bank as an Assistant Branch Manager 19 years ago. Throughout my career in banking I have built a reputation as someone who is knowledgeable, diligent and always available for my customers. I know that getting a loan or managing your money can be stressful and, at times, confusing. I work hard to make sure that our customers love National Iron Bank. Whether you are getting a loan for a new house or opening a checking account, my team and I are here to help guide you through the process. That sometimes means being available for my clients, even when the bank is not open.

As a longtime resident of the northwest corner of Connecticut, I am deeply involved in our community. In addition to volunteering my time at several local events and fundraisers, I currently hold a position with The Norfolk Lions Club. When I am not working, my greatest joy is my family, showing dogs and enjoying this beautiful corner of our world.

Justin Spring

I began my career here at National Iron Bank, right out of High School as a teller in the Norfolk Branch in October of 2009. After growing my knowledge in banking, I was promoted to Assistant Branch Manager. I had briefly moved to a larger corporation, only to realize the importance of a small community bank. Whether it is volunteering at events or changing tires for clients, seeing a direct impact of how our service benefits our customers is something I am passionate about.

I currently volunteer as a first responder for Thomaston Ambulance. Being able to use my knowledge to help those around me, and reinvesting into my community is very important to me.

I am currently the Branch Manager of the Washington Depot Branch. I am dedicated to insuring my clients are satisfied with the personalized service we provide, and strive to reach the financial needs of each and every customer.

Lorraine Oler

Lorraine joined National Iron Bank at the beginning of 2020 after a long career in Relationship Banking to institutional clients of large Money Center Banks. She and her family enjoyed the Northwest Corner as weekenders for over 20 years until living and working full-time in our community became a dream come true. Lorraine is committed to building professional, financial and innovative resources that help small businesses to thrive. She recently organized a group of women, “BOSS Ladies”, who are Business Operators of Sharon and Salisbury and whose mission it is to optimize economic flourishing and mentor our local students in business. Lorraine’s passion is The Martha Graham Dance Company where she has served on the Board of Trustees for 15 years and is Chairman of the Board as of July 2021. Lorraine is also an avid tennis player.

My name is Ronald Goldstein Jr. and I am your local National Iron Bank manager. My story begins and continues with this wonderful community. I was born at Sharon Hospital and raised in West Cornwall. After a brief absence in Florida, where I went to Florida Atlantic University and started my career, I made the decision to come back to West Cornwall with my now wife. Having a childhood that included going to the excellent CCS, skiing Mohawk Mountain on snow-swept nights and skipping stones across the Housatonic against the backdrop of our beloved covered bridge, there was no question as to where to call home. This community, this place, is very special to me in so many ways. As your local bank manager, I will strive to be engaged in what makes this town special for you.

I am the Mortgage Origination Specialist for National Iron Bank in Washington, Roxbury, Bridgewater, Kent, New Milford, Brookfield, and Litchfield.

Personalized service and community engagement are what separate National Iron Bank from some of the other, larger lenders in the area. Throughout my career in mortgage lending, I have committed myself to providing an exceptional amount of personal attention to each client. I try to make each loan as hassle-free as possible. I enjoy working with the lending team at National Iron, which is known for offering flexible terms and its exceptional focus on the needs of customers.

I graduated with a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Presidency College in Chennai, India and have over 11 years of mortgage lending experience. I am currently a member of the New Milford Chamber of Commerce and previously served as President of the Kiwanis Club of Greater Danbury. I am also the owner of the New Milford Tennis and Swim Club, and when I am not working I enjoy playing tennis and spending time with my family.
